10 Seconds for Life

Surviving A Heart Attack                                      If You Are Alone.

Cardiologists estimate there is a 10 second window of

opportunity after the onset of symptoms of a heart attack.

If you have pain in your chest and arm which also moves

into the jaw and shortness of breath are the basic signs,

but the symptoms are different for women and men.

Women, often, do not experience actual chest discomfort.

Women most often report a hot, burning sensation and

tenderness to touch located in the back, shoulders, arms or jaw.

Also women experience nausea, vomiting, indigestion, shortness of breath orsudden and extreme fatigue without chest pain.

Doctors often miss read these symptoms in women.  Ladies if you’re experiencing any discomfort above the waist be unyielding in your attitude with your doctor about your heart health.   Be sure to look closely at information on Angina and Coronary Artery Disease because it's often reported as related to men.

With the onset of a heart attack statistics show there is around 10 seconds before the loss of consciousness.   A form of self-applied CPR could save your life. Could give you precious time to summon help or dial 911.

Coughing repeatedly and very vigorously with the deepest breath you can muster before each cough.  The deep breath sends more oxygen to the heart.  The deep hard cough has a messaging action on the heart.  Don't stop unless your breathing returns to normal and get help quickly.
